Having The Waiters play at our wedding was pretty much the best decision we made.
We had them do the jazz trio during the cocktail hour and then the full band for the rest of the reception. The bottom line is that they are seriously amazing musicians who put on a heck of a show and they absolutely made the party. Everyone of all ages and musical tastes could not stop raving about the band, and our guests are still telling us how great they were over two months later.
I was very impressed that they played such a wide range of musical styles, and were willing to learn to play a song we requested for our first dance. They know what they are doing and they do it very very well. There is no need to fret about the setlist with this band! Bernie was also very easy to work within the planning process, and everything went off without a hitch as a result. The Waiters are true professionals and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Bernie and the Waiters are a staple of the Portland wedding scene.
They have a great reputation in Portland for energy and professionalism, and they lived up to the hype at our wedding.
I can't tell you how many last-minute changes we put the band through, but they were able to make every change without hesitation. Bernie spoke with me on the phone three times leading up to the wedding and gave me great advice. He helped me plan the momentum of the experience from start to finish through his decades of wedding experience. He doesn't see the band's role as dropping in, playing, and getting home - he sees the bigger picture and wants the whole experience to be successful.
Everyone I spoke to after the wedding said that more than anything else they appreciated the mix of genres.
The band appeals to every age group and knows how to maintain momentum throughout a long evening of revelry.
Furthermore, they have the ability to be true performers up in the spotlight (on a couple occasions the saxophonist actually came into the crowd and ripped solos) or melt into the background when members of the wedding party are supposed to be the stars. They can do it all.

Dear Bernie,
I'm writing to thank The Waiters for putting on such a spectacular show at our wedding. We've had time to reflect on it by ourselves and with people who were there and absolutely everyone talks about how amazing the music was. People were dancing all night long, anywhere and everywhere! Also, I can't begin to say how easy it was on our side of things. We felt totally assured that the music was in the hands of professionals and we hardly needed to give any input at all. I honestly can't think of a single thing that could have gone better.

When Stephanie and I decided to go with a band for our wedding we knew we wanted someone that we were excited to work with. We loved having a lead female vocalist and she was amazing.
